CHESAPEAKE - A woman walking her dog was struck by a vehicle and killed in Chesapeake Wednesday morning.
Officer Kelly O'Sullivan says it happened around 7:45 a.m. at Dunning Lane and Eagle Point Lane and that the SUV involved in the incident did stop.
69-year-old Nancy Gray was pinned and died at the scene. Her dog wasn't hurt.
People in the gated community say Gray was a good neighbor and will be missed.
"It's just sad, really is sad," said Janice Nuckols.
An investigation into the incident continues.
