CHESAPEAKE - Police say a man stole items from Lowe's in Chesapeake and pushed down the man who tried to stop him.

It happened on May 11 at the store on Portsmouth Blvd.

Surveillance camera images show the man police want to find. They say he walked out with more than $200 worth of merchandise and then assaulted the loss prevention officer who tried to stop him.

After that, he drover off in a black Maxima. The security officer had minor scrapes from being thrown to the ground, MPO Kelly O'Sullivan told WVEC.com.

Anyone who can help police identify him or with information about the incident can call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP, text "CHESTIP” with Information to CRIMES (274637) or submit a tip on the Chesapeake Crime Line Website.
