NORFOLK-Hampton Roads Transit wants to raise the price you pay to ride the bus, ferry, light rail and paratransit services by 50 cents.
HRT says it hasn't raised its basic fare since 1999, even though fuel, materials, labor and other operating expenses have gone up.
What do you think of the plan? HRT will hold eight public hearings this month. In February, HRT's governing board will hold another public meeting on the proposal.
If approved, the increase would start in July.
