CHESAPEAKE- Students at Greenbrier Intermediate School in Chesapeake were evacuated Friday morning because of a bomb threat.

Due to low temperatures, the approximately 640 students were sent a short distance to Greenbrier Middle School while fire and police officers search the building, said Chesapeake Schools spokesman Tom Cupitt.

The call was made to the school around 10:40 a.m., said police spokeswoman Officer Kelly O'Sullivan.

Students and staff returned back to Greenbrier Intermediate before 1 p.m., after the search was pronounced clear.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Chesapeake Fire Department.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
