CHESAPEAKE -- Assistant Principal Bryan Carter is in the Chesapeake Correctional Center, accused of assaulting a woman he knows.
Chesapeake officers got a call about the alleged incident late Sunday afternoon.
Carter supposedly went to a home on Pond Lane where the woman lives and assaulted her. He also is accused of holding her at the home and not letting her leave it. Charges against him include Burglary, Attempted Robbery.
Spokesman for Chesapeake Public Schools Tom Cupitt told 13News he could not provide an employment status for Carter or provide the length of time Carter has worked for the school division.
Carter declined a request for an interview.
