CHESAPEAKE-- The father of a 16-month-old baby who died in August has now been indicted in connection with her death.

Police say 35-year-old Floyd Logan IV of the 2200 block of Jefferson Avenue in Newport News is wanted for 1st degree murder and child abuse.

Police say the family of Waaliyah Brown called 911 on Aug. 15 after other children alerted their parents that something was wrong with the baby.

Police responded to the 800 block of Park Row and found Waaliyah had no superficial wounds but was unresponsive.

Waaliyah was then transported to Chesapeake Regional Medical Facility where she was pronounced dead.

The death investigation has been going on for several months and it took multiple medical examinations to determine Waaliyah's cause of death.

The fugitive squad has not been able to find Logan.

Anybody with information on Logan's whereabouts is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
