NORFOLK --  The same eagle pair has been together for nearly ten years now and once again this season they are busy producing eggs.

Egg number one was laid last Thursday and egg number two came just two hours before kickoff on Superbowl Sunday!  Now all eyes are on Eaglecam and the possibility of a third egg.

"Usually they don't do full-time incubating if they are expecting another egg.  And this morning, for example, the female was off the egg for 30 minutes," said research biologist Reese Lukei.

Just like they've done a number of times, this eagle pair is probably going to produce that third egg.

"So that's a sign that she's expecting to lay another egg and we would expect that either later today or tomorrow," added Lukei.
