NN Walmart Market
NEWPORT NEWS - The first Walmart Neighborhood Market in Newport News opened for business Wednesday morning.
Company officials say they hired about 90 people for the 42,000 square-foot store at 11214 Jefferson Avenue.
Store hours are 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily.
Walmart says the store has energy-saving features, including LED lights in signs, freezer cases and the parking lot. This technology uses about 50 percent less energy than traditional lighting, officials stated.
