PORTSMOUTH -- If you want to help improve the look of area shorelines, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation wants to hear from you.

One week from tomorrow, Saturday, June 2 is Clean the Bay Day. Thousands of pounds of trash get removed by an army of volunteers, and the call is going out for more.

All seven cities participate just for one day.

"I'd say go to our website cbf.org/clean and look at a site near you and prepare to have fun and bring the whole family, and a wear some sunscreen and bring some water and whatever you do take care of your shoes," said Tanner Council of The Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

Again the Chesapeake Bay Foundation is recruiting volunteers now.
