Marcus Carter got the ultimate 17th birthday gift. The junior had a team high 20 points as Bruton won over Handley 59-57. They move on to the Group AA Division 3 state semifinals.

The Grafton girls squad fell short to Loudon 53-48 in the Group AA Division 4 quarterfinals. Christa Hall led the Clippers with 15 points in the loss.
