VIRGINIA BEACH -- Many men and women are chasing the fountain of youth. They get plastic surgery, laser treatments and injections to keep looking young.

50-something Sharon Cummings is one of those who want to turn back time.

“Just some Versa laser for the rosacea and Botox,” she says, "I've had it in my forehead, between my eyebrows and around the crow's feet area."

Now, she’s trying the newest treatment – Laviv.

“It just sounded fantastic, you know, your own cells and the fact that it couldn't be a bad reaction to it ‘cause they're putting part of you back into you," she says explaining her interest.

Laviv is the first and only FDA-approved personalized aesthetic cell therapy. Your own fibroblast cells – the ones that produce collagen – are harvested from your body, multiplied and then injected into your wrinkles.

Cummings had her first round of injections at Dr. David McDaniel’s Laser and Cosmetic Center in Va. Beach last month.

Beginning on 13News at 5, learn about how Laviv compares to other injectibles how it works and how Sharon does with her second treatment and how quickly she sees results.
