VIRGINIA BEACH -- A woman pleaded guilty Monday to trying to steal a $75.00 wig from a Va. Beach store last year.
Shanice Andrea Bunton was caught on tape pulling the wig from her handbag and throwing it on the ground after she was confronted by an employee at Ace Beauty and Wigs. Police say she assaulted a worker in the Holland Road store on May 17, 2011.
A man with her at the time was charged with two misdemeanor counts of simple assault.
Bunton is due to be sentenced on April 3 for Felony Attempted Larceny from the Person and Misdemeanor Destruction of Property, Commonwealth's Attorney spokeswoman Macie Pridgen told WVEC.com.
