NORFOLK (AP) -- More than 1,400 sailors and Marines have returned to Norfolk Naval Station following a three-month deployment.
The amphibious assault ship Wasp is arrived in Norfolk on Tuesday morning, greeted by thousands of family members and loved ones who were waiting pierside.
The Wasp's crew includes 1,100 sailors and 365 Marines.
The ship was deployed to U.S. Naval Southern Command as part of Southern Partnership Station.
