Freemason Parking Garage shooting
NORFOLK – The man accused in a double-shooting inside a Norfolk parking garage has been arrested, police said Thursday afternoon.'
Police were called to Freemason Parking Garage just before 2:00 a.m.
Investigators say the victims had been on Granby Street earlier and went to their vehicle in the garage when they got into an argument with Brandon Deshawn Bethea, Sr. The argument escalted and Bethea pulled a gun and fired, according to authorities.
The victims were found by the vehicle on the ramp between the first and second floors, according to police.
Bethea, 24, of King Court in Chesapeake, was taken into custody in the 1100 block of Oldwood Street in Chesapeake.
The victims, whose names haven’t been released, remain hospitalized Thursday afternoon. One is in critical but stable condition; the other is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Authorities say the victims didn't know Bethea.
