NEWPORT NEWS --Police released the photo of a suspect Tuesday night in a triple shooting that happened at 33rd Street and Marshall Avenue in the afternoon.

Warrants were filed charging 19-year-old Tyrek Laquan Allen of 700 Water Front Circle in Newport News with 3 counts of Malicious Wounding and 3 counts of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.

Allen is currently not in custody and police are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the Crime Line.

A Newport News school was briefly locked down Tuesday as police responded to the shooting.

Officers went to 33rd Street and Marshall Avenue around 11:45 a.m. and found two males and one female victim.  Their wounds did not appear to be life threatening, said spokesman Lou Thurston.   The female victim appeared to be an innocent victim, he added.

The woman has been released from the hospital.  She was on her way to the drug store when she was shot.

One of the men's foot was injured and the other suffered a leg injury.

Huntington Middle School's school resource officer heard the call and the school was immediately put on lock down.  The lock down was lifted within 10 minutes.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.
