CHESAPEAKE -- A 16-year-old boy will face charges from a shooting that wounded a city employee.
The worker had stopped his city vehicle in front of the home on Scotia Drive on November 18 when he was struck in the arm.
According to police, the worker wasn't the intended target and they believe the teen and another juvenile may have carelessly handled the weapon, causing it to go off.
The second juvenile left the house before police arrived, according to investigators.
Police also say the weapon hasn't been recovered.
Detectives and the commonewealth's attorney office will review the case to determine what charges will be filed.
