ALEX TREBEK, SUSAN LUCCI, BARNEY IN SMITHSONIAN
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Alex Trebek says “Jeopardy” has influenced popular culture by making it “acceptable to be bright.” Trebek donated a “Jeopardy” buzzer and an original script to the National Museum of American History. Susan Lucci donated the dress and shoes she wore the night she broke her 19-time losing streak and won her first Daytime Emmy. The creators of Barney also contributed some memorabilia from their show. The Smithsonian and the TV academy will spend the next three years collecting memorabilia from daytime TV for a new exhibit planned for the museum.
