ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Hundreds of visitors showed up for the reopening of the Central Library in downtown St. Louis on Sunday.
The library was reopened to the public after a two-year, $70 million renovation.
KMOX reports (http://cbsloc.al/TPI6xh) that library director Waller McGuire opened the doors to the public for the first time since June 2010.
Mayor Francis Slay says the restoration on the century-old building is a testament to the value that St. Louis places on education, learning and access to information.
