NORFOLK- What can you make with a Girl Scout cookie? Taste the creations by some of the best chefs in Hampton Roads at the 6th annual Samoa Soiree on Saturday at Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center in downtown Norfolk.
The chefs will create original appetizers and desserts using Girl Scout Cookies as key ingredients and will be judged by a panel of experts, including food writer and critic Patrick Evans-Hylton and 13News Now Anchor Vanessa Coria, who will also be the emcee.
There's one category that guests will judge - the People’s Choice winner
This year’s participants include: 80/20 Burger Bar, Atlantic Shores Retirement Community, BRAVO! Cucina Italiana, Cotton Southern Bistro, The Founder’s Inn, Freemason Abbey, Gatling Pointe Yacht Club, Hummingbird Macarons, IceBreaker Chef, Karnage Asada, Rowena’s Kitchen, Small’s Smokehouse and Oyster Bar, Twisted Sisters Cupcakes and Sugar Shack Café. K
Tickets for the event, which runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., are $60 each. All proceeds will support the Opportunity Fund, which provides financial assistance to girls whose families need help with Girl Scout membership, summer camp and program fees.
