NORFOLK–There are so many ways to help non-profit groups keep doing their good work in Hampton Roads. One way coming up is attend Thursday's E4K Pig and Oyster Roast in Norfolk.
It's put on by the Hampton Roads Chapters of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers and the International Facility Management Association.
E4K means Energy 4 Kids, helping charities save money by improving their facility’s heating and cooling systems and the energy efficiency of their buildings.
The Pig and Oyster Roast is from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Talbot Hall, 600 Talbot Hall Rd. and will benefit raise money to provide energy improvements for the Ronald McDonald House, which opened in 1981. The house is a “Home Away From Home” for families who want to be near their child (age 21 and under) receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital.
