NORFOLK--- If you're looking for a place with character, a warm artistic environment and great Moroccan food, visit Omar's Carriage House.
The restaurant is nestled in Norfolk's Freemason neighborhood. You're surrounded by historic town houses and brick roads. Omar's was built in the early 1840s, with a large opening for carriages.
I enjoyed stuffed trout over couscous. My friend ordered kabobs.
I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Omar. He's a great host with a beautiful family that came into the restaurant for dinner.
I encourage anyone to make a trip to Omar's...espeically if you like dining at locally owned restaurants.
