NORFOLK -- If you have some time, Norfolk Schools needs you to read to some young students. It's for the division's Green Reader Program, this year in all 33 elementary schools, for grades Pre-K through 3rd.

The program, in its 13th year, is designed to help youngsters develop a better understanding of the role they play in keeping Norfolk clean and helping their environment, officials said.

The books in the program are all "green" book - like "Let's Reduce Garbage," " Can Save the Earth," and two Michael Recycle stories.

574 green reading slots need to be filled.
