NORFOLK-ABC13 is proud to be a sponsor and to broadcast live the 29th annual Grand Illumination Parade in Norfolk this weekend.

It begins at 7:00 p.m. Saturday with a synchronized community countdown, which signals the illumination of more than 12 miles of lights outlining the Downtown Norfolk and Olde Towne Portsmouth skylines.

More than 70 parade units, marching bands from across Hampton Roads and others will kick off the holiday season.

If you want to head downtown early, you can get $1.00 parking at all city lots between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., saving you $4.00. Of course, you can ride the Tide, take the ferry or bus downtown. Find the stop stop nearest you here.

Want to go? Check out the schedule of events and parade route on the Holidays in The City Website.

If you want to avoid the crowds, tune in to ABC13 for live coverage, hosted by 13News Now anchors David Alan and Regina Mobley.

For more information, you can call 757-623–1757.
