CHESAPEAKE - A special event on Saturday will raise money to help the recovery of a wheelchair-bound man.
A bike run/Poker run to benefit Joshuah Naghiu takes place at Big Woody's in Great Bridge. It begins at Hotrodders Cafe on Mount Pleasant Road and then bikers will ride to their seven stops for the poker run and then finally arrive at Big Woody's by 1:00 p.m.
After that, there will be a 50/50 raffle, an Auction, two live local bands and Joshuahs Journey T-shirts for sale.
Josh's mother is trying to raise $21,000 to buy a special RT-300 Restorative Therapy rehabilitative bike that's not covered by insurance.
Naghiu was horsing around with a friend in the garage when the friend got him in a headlock and took him down. The April 2010 accident crushed his C5 and fractured his C4.
