HAMPTON --  The East Coast Ultimate Paddle Challenge is bringing SUP racing to Virginia's peninsula this weekend with the Ku’ono Paddle Series

After a night of fireworks to celebrate our independence, grab a board, kayak or canoe and paddle the waters that played a pivotal role in settling America. 12-mile, 7-mile and 2-mile races will take place on Saturday, July 5. The race set up area will be at Mill Point Park, just a block away from the Crowne Plaza Hampton Marina Hotel.

On Sunday, a Keiki Race (untimed kids race) will take place for paddlers 13 and under.

The Ku’ono Paddle Series are WPA points sanctioned events that begin in the water and head around Old Point Comfort toward the Chesapeake Bay.

Registration is provided through paddleguru.com.
