HAMPTON -- Camp Fury is a hands-on resident camp that allows girls in grades 6 through 12 to gain self-confidence and respect through teamwork.

The camp, presented by the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast and Hampton Fire & Rescue, gives girls the opportunity to experience firefighting and emergency operation techniques while connecting with women currently in the profession.

Participants will earn the Girl Scout Safety Award and CPR certification. Classes will be held July 20-25, 2014. Camp registration is $375, but financial assistance is available.

Girls will stay at Camp Skiminio located on 90-acres near Williamsburg. They'll travel each day to class at Hampton Fire & Rescue.
