The weather's supposed to be great, so head outdoors and have some fun. AltDaily has some suggestions.  

NORFOLK - First Fridays Granby Street Party
Music, pop-up businesses, a beer garden and lots of fun all in downtown Norfolk in the 300 block of Granby Street on Friday, May 2.

PORTSMOUTH - Olde Towne Antiques to Flea Market
On the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., this large flea market features a huge mix of antiques, collectibles, books, art, crafts, furniture, and much more.
Held in the Middle Street Garage rain or shine

EVERYWHERE: Free Comic Book day on May 3
60 free comics to choose from and talk with other comic fans. Lots of fans even dress up as their characters.

VIRGINIA BEACH AND PORTSMOUTH -- Atlantic Coast Kite Festival
“Colors in the Sky" is the theme this year as people just go fly a kite May 3 and 4.
Saturday is fun on the beach between 16th and 18th Streets at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
Sunday the Kite Festival moves to Portsmouth from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at City Park, 140 City Park Avenue.
