NORFOLK-Children from the Southside Boys & Girls Club and fishermen of all ages will be taking part in this weekend's East Coast Ship Repair and Fabrication Third annual Flounder Fishing Tourney.

Through making good grades and being on good behavior, the youngsters won the chance to fish on Friday.  For many of them, it will be the first time they've gone out on a boat and fished.

Saturday and Sunday, the competition heats up. There's a $200 entry fee per boat crew and $50 per kayak entry and anglers take off from Vinings Landing Marina on Shore Drive on Saturday. (Rain date Sunday)

Company President and CEO Jorge’ Rivera said, “We, the committee and sponsors, want to give the kids at the Club every opportunity to reach their goals in life. The funds raised from the Tourney will hopefully help them find success through strengthening programs at the Club.”
