NEWPORT NEWS - Eat, drink and be merry and help raise money for the Peninsula Institute for Community Health.

Tickets for the Thursday, October 11 event at the Virginia Living Museum in Newport News are still available.

PICH, a non-profit health system, has nine centers throughout Hampton Roads, has been serving the uninsured and under-insured for 35 years.   Until now, officials say they've relied on government funding and donations, but in this economy, the Institute is doing fundraising.

Money raised from the event will provide services like colonoscopies, breast and prostate screenings.

The PICH 2nd Annual Fall Food Fete runs from 6-9pm and it's business/cocktail attire. The Virginia Living Museum is at 524 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. in Newport News.

For more information, you can call 753-5969.
