Date: Sept. 18 Time: 9:46 a.m. ET Location: Virginia Beach Submitted by: Greg and Samantha Erb Here are pictures from our neighborhood in the Princess Anne Plaza area of Virginia Beach. Look how high Bow Creek is already and this was at 8:45 AM ET before the bulk of the storm has even gotten here and high tide time is far away.
Already a falling tree branch has destroyed two sheds that one of our neighbors had in their backyard. We will send updated pics of the storm in our area as possible throughout the day.
Date: Sept. 18 It is 9:30 Thursday morning - we are weathering this storm from our house in Dandy on Back Creek in Yorktown. This is a picture of someone having fun on a kayak on Back Creek - we were tempted to get ours out!

These were taken from the beach access at the end of Rookery Way in Va Beach. Strong winds Waveheight 3-4 ft. Tide higher (much higher) than normal. Normally the water does not reach to the dunes.

Wind slowly increased during night, estimate now +/- 30 kts. Rain started at 8:10 am, Thur 18 Sept.
