SUFFOLK, Va. — Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to a fire at a nursing home Sunday morning.
The fire was called in around 7:37 a.m., with a report of heavy smoke in the laundry room of Autumn Care of Suffolk in the 2500 block of Pruden Boulevard.
Crews found a dryer on fire. Capt. Steven Johnson said the fire was contained to the laundry room.
The cause remains under investigation.
