Man charged with manufacturing meth after lab found in Newport News wooded area

Robert Rosenbleeth, III, is charged with meth mixture, two counts of manufacturing meth, and possession of a schedule I or II drug, Newport News police said.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Newport News police charged a man with manufacturing meth in connection with a meth lab found in a wooded area behind a Sam's Club in January.

Robert Rosenbleeth III, 37, is charged with meth mixture, two counts of manufacturing meth, and possession of a schedule I or II drug, Newport News police said.

On Jan. 5, police were called around 1:50 p.m. to the 12400 block of Jefferson Avenue to a call of a suspicious person.

Officers checked a wooded area behind Sam's Club where they found a tent and possible meth lab.

Police called the incident a hazmat situation and Newport News Fire Department were notified.
