VIRGINIA BEACH -- A man walked in to a check cashing business in Va. Beach and told the clerk he had a bomb and wanted money.
It happened just before 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Express Check Advance in the 3800 block of Holland Road.
The clerk didn't report seeing a weapon or bomb but complied with his demand, police say.
After getting the cash, the man, described as white and in his 40s, walked away.
No one was hurt.
Within 30 minutes and about a half a mile away, police stopped a man matching the suspect's description. Units were at Wendy's in the Chimney Hill Shopping Center as of 2:45 p.m.
On Thursday, police told WVEC.com that man was arrested and charged with the robbery.
John Randy Sabatino, 43, of Virginia Beach, is in the city jail on two counts of robbery and one count of threatening to bomb.
